I want to be an Alison Roman fan but she and I just don't connect in the kitchen. I tried her much raved about Caramelized Shallot Pasta which tasted so so. I probably could have opened up a jar of tomato sauce, added some red pepper, fresh herbs and parmesean cheese and had a better tasting dish.
